Privacy Policy

Dispoca is a disposable camera for events: guests join with a code, shoot in-app, and the roll stays hidden until the event ends. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work:

  • Organizer accounts. If you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable Apple identifier and the email you choose to share. We never see your Apple password.
  • Guests. Joining an event needs no account — only a device identifier generated on your phone and the display name you type. We do not ask guests for an email.
  • Photos. The pictures you take inside the app, plus the event they belong to and the film look you chose.
  • Consents. A record that you accepted the upload terms, and (for minors) that a parent or guardian consented.
  • Basic technical data. Standard request logs needed to run and secure the service.

2. How we use it

We use your information to let you join events, take and store photos, develop the gallery when an event ends, moderate content for safety, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos to train face-recognition models.

3. Photos & moderation

Photos are taken in-app only — Dispoca never opens your camera roll. Every photo is stored privately in Amazon Web Services (AWS S3, US East region) and is only ever served over short-lived, signed links generated when you open it.

When you upload a photo we automatically strip embedded metadata, including any GPS location, and run an automated safety scan (AWS Rekognition) to flag explicit content for the organizer to review. Face recognition is not used.

4. Who can see your data

Your photos are visible to the people in your event once it develops, and to anyone the organizer shares the event's gallery link with. Organizers and our operators can view and moderate the photos in events they manage.

We share data with the infrastructure providers that run the service (such as AWS for storage and image processing) and only as needed to operate it. We disclose information if required by law.

5. Storage & retention

Photos move to cold archival storage after about 90 days and are automatically deleted after roughly one year. We keep account and event records for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your records and make a best-effort deletion of your stored photos (see Your rights).

6. Children

Dispoca is not directed to children under 13. If a guest indicates they are a minor, their photos are withheld at reveal until a parent or guardian provides consent. If you believe a child has used the app without proper consent, contact us and we will remove the relevant data.

7. Your rights & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deleting your account revokes your sessions, removes your records, and best-effort deletes your photos from storage; for organizers it also removes the events you own and their photos.
